KARL STANLEY

Karl Stanley is the chief instructor and co founder of the UK Wing Chun Academy which operates in the South West of England.

Karl has been involved with martial arts most of his adult life but began studying Wing Chun in 1995. He has studied with several UK instructors within the Ip Chun lineage and attained instructor level in 2002.

Having attended numerous seminars with Master Ip Chun in the UK, Karl decided to travel to Hong Kong in April 2004. The trip transformed Karl's understanding and perception of Wing Chun and he was honoured to be invited back to continue further training with Master Ip Chun later that year.

In December 2004 Karl was awarded his Instructor Certificate for the Wing Chun Ip Chun Academy. In 2005 Karl took a group of students over to Hong Kong and had the privilege of visiting Ip Man Tong in Foshan with Master Ip Chun.
